If done well, PPC can be an effective, quick, targeted and accountable way to drive traffic to your website within a given, adjustable budget.

Also referred to as cost per click/CPC and Google Adwords, PPC is a growing advertising medium whose main feature is you pay only when someone clicks on your ad.  In the case of Search Engines, ‘sponsored’ advertising slots appear adjacent to the ‘natural/organic’ results of relevant search queries; on content sites, an agreed/fixed price is charged when a display ad is clicked.
