Hope you’ve all had a good week and you’re now sitting down relaxing or having some fun.
I am still living at Gems mums and dads house at the moment as it’s taking a bit longer than expected to complete the chain its all good though as they are fantastic cooks and we seem to be having at least one barbeque a week so I cannot complain.
Really looking forward to moving in now though, I want to start making my mark, I think I’ll start in the garden first and then work my way around the rest of the house slowly.
Let’s get started, shall we…
A really interesting story, quite disturbing though when you think about it, certainly made me think about animal welfare, personally, I am not sure I would want to try this out though.
Animal rights groups have been trying for years to show the public the unfair treatment of animals, we’ve all heard stories and we choose what we want to believe as there are so many conflicting stories out there! However, VR may be about to make a massive breakthrough for animal rights groups as VR is going to open it all up providing 180 – 360-degree views of these facilities for all to see. If they think it will help then good for but I would not want to view a meat factory in VR, for example.
Should Apple be worried.?
A brand new VR, AR, Mixed Reality firm is coming our way in 2018, it’s called hydrogen, please read this article and let me know your thoughts on whether you think this a game changer as up until now Apple were in then lead but this phone seems to be packed full of tech!
Really looking forward to seeing the new movie Dunkirk, apparently, there’s a small VR teaser coming out as well, first I’ve heard but after watching a small teaser I can’t wait to try it out!
Supposedly titled “Save Every Breath” the short experience promises to take viewers inside the horrors and intensity of WWII like never before with the power of VR.
A good friend of mine Dominic Terville of VR City-based in London has produced an amazing 360 video featuring Eubank Jnr as he prepares for his title fight against Arthur Abraham on 15 July.
The film gives viewers an insight into the incredible preparation boxers goes through to become fighting fit, I reckon it will be a good fight. It’s been developed for ITV Box Office who are showing the fight live and exclusive.
VR City will also be shooting the weigh in on Friday and the fight on Saturday and will re-release it post the fight to include the action and result.
There a couple of ways to watch it but I recommend the headset version
You can also watch it on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
My final article of the week – I thought It would best if from now on I shine some light of some of the VR & AR companies out there doing their bit to help the elderly or vulnerable.
This week I would like to share Aged Care Virtual Reality, these guys go all out to make sure those that are unable to experience the real thing get to experience their dreams using VR.
A great idea and one which I would not hesitate to use in the distant future.
