Here at TDMB, we are all about technology. At heart, we are a small group of tech evangelists exploring all aspects of tech, and as I am sure most of you will agree, things are moving forward at an unprecedented rate across all sectors, which is great! That’s why we have put together this concise blockchain infographic.

We are particularly interested in the world of blockchain technology and decided to start mapping the sector. Below you will find over 150 of the larger companies broken down into the sectors they are impacting. We hope it is of use.

If you are not in this infographic, feel you should be featured or can spot a glaring mistake, please fill out this form below (we update this infographic each quarter).

Why do we believe Blockchain will have an impact?

Simply because we believe it will revolutionise a lot of business sectors.

Now, this isn’t a brand new concept, it’s actually been around for a few years. Blockchain is a public ledger of all Bitcoin transactions that have ever been executed. It has been purposely designed to work alongside the likes of Bitcoin and Ethereum both digital cryptocurrencies. The blockchain is constantly growing as ‘completed’ blocks are added to it with a new set of recordings. Blocks are added to the blockchain in a linear, chronological order. Blockchain technology is the future of safe transactions, a secure way of transporting our materials and goods.

Imagine being able to see and keep a full record of every transaction you’ve ever done, a secure transaction that cannot be edited by any unauthorised parties. In an age where cyber security is an ever-growing concern, such secure systems are crucial. Blockchain is, therefore, a risk reduction tool to help minimise the risk of corruption or fraud for all parties involved in a transaction. It can be implemented in almost any sector; it has the potential to revolutionise the healthcare sector, for example.

However, banking is obviously quite hot on the agenda, as financial institutions are having to become far more vigilant nowadays regarding their existing processes. I guess it comes down to streamlining the existing setup, whilst maintaining 100% accuracy.

In addition to updating the infographic itself, we would also welcome the opportunity to profile the featured companies and individuals. We will be featuring these interviews here on the TDMB site over the coming months. So, again, if you would like to work with us on a profile of your work in the sector, please get in touch.
