Google’s Cool Gboard GIF Search Isn’t Coming To The Web

Gboard GIF

Gboard, Google’s keyboard for iPhone which from besides just being what it says on the tin so to speak, also comes with Gifs and emojis. What’s great about Gboard that there is no need to switch apps back and forth.

Unfortunately, for desktop there’s nothing in the pipeline *sigh*. Google engineer Rajan Patel mentioned in Marketing Land that they don’t have any further plans for Gboard just yet and suggested that those who want to use Google to find GIFs should search via Google Images, where after conducting a search, you can then narrow down your search to “Animated” (which you can find more about here).

Eurovision Song Contest 2016 smashes record with more than 7m tweets

Eurovision Twitter

From Ukraine’s emphatic win to Justin Timberlake making an appearance at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden, the show inspired more than 7 million tweets on the night – a new record for the Eurovision history books.

A mixture of viewers, brands, and celebs were out on Twitter in full force for a competition that was eventually won by Ukraine’s Jamala (Susana Jamaladinova). It can be inferred that this year’s Eurovision had more engagement on social due to the fact that it was aired in The U.S. for the very first time. Below are some of the tweets from the event.

A Look At Instagram’s New Analytics

instagram analytics

A lot of marketers have been crying out for Instagram analytics for some time now and it has been revealed that Instagram is testing detailed analytics.

The analytics, otherwise named Insights (similar to Facebook’s own analytics), will give a picture (no pun intended!) of audiences and posts.

According to Marketing Land’s Tamar Weinberg, follower/audience data will include age distribution, geographic distribution, gender distribution and follower activity by hour, among other data. In addition, Top Instagram posts will display all images posted within a specified period (seven or 30 days) and sorted accordingly by the amount of impressions.
